Physical Education Curriculum –
MATTHEW SMITH |
 |
-
PE, All levels
- BFA, Dance Performance and Choreography; Ohio
University |
|
Mr. Smith started teaching swim lessons when he was
13. By the time he was 22, he'd taught and coached
thousands of people in the water. Out of the water,
his life-long commitment to cycling is evident in the
~140 miles he pedals most weeks between Seattle and
Arbor (thanks for driving safely). Mr. Smith's dance
career is still quite active as well, and he has
choreographed, performed, and taught (all ages) in OH,
NC, PA, NJ, NY, OK, Tokyo, Japan and will begin
teaching in Seattle in 2007. Mr. Smith will be drawing
from a large pool of conventional and unconventional
sources for a well-rounded physical education of Arbor
students. |
