Upper Elementary Classrooms

In the Montessori upper elementary program, the child continues with a self-directed education in a nurturing environment where a balance of freedom and direction mesh with an extensive curriculum. Children develop the self-discipline and responsibility required for internalizing intellectual processes. Students learn how to learn, finding pleasure in the organized pursuit of knowledge. Arbor Montessori Schools’ goal is to develop students who can think logically and approach problems creatively with an integrated set of skills. The result is the life-long confidence that comes from true competence and a genuine respect for self and others.

There are two Upper Elementary Classrooms—the Cedar and Poplar Room.
